H.E Ms. Aisha Farooqui, Ambassador of Pakistan to Ireland presented Letter of Credence to H.E Mr. Michael Higgins

Her Excellency, Ms. Ms. Aisha Farooqui, Ambassador of Pakistan to Ireland presented her Letter of Credence to His Excellency Mr. Michael Higgins at an impressive ceremony held at the Aras an Uachtarian (Presidency) in Dublin on 29 November 2022.
After presenting her credentials, the Ambassador called on the President and discussed bilateral relations and matters of mutual interests. She also conveyed to the President, greetings from President Dr. Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif. She thanked the Irish Government for humanitarian assistance for flood hit people in Pakistan.
President Higgins said that Ireland was aware of Pakistan’s importance in the region and attaches special importance to its relations with Pakistan. She thanked the Irish Government for humanitarian assistance for flood hit people in Pakistan.
President Higgins reciprocated the greetings of President Dr. Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif. He wished people of Pakistan progress and prosperity. He also expressed his sincere condolences at the loss of lives in the recent floods in Pakistan.
While felicitating the Ambassador Ms. Aisha Farooqui, President Higgins expressed hope that the Ambassador will work for further cementing the existing ties between Pakistan and Ireland.
On departure from Aras an Uachtarian (Presidency), national anthem of Pakistan was played, and the Ambassador was presented Guard of the Honour by a smartly turned out contingent of Irish Army.
