Dublin, Ireland — Ambassador of Pakistan to Ireland, Mariam Aftab, called on the Lord Mayor of Dublin, Daryl Barron, for a cordial meeting focused on community relations and matters of mutual interest.
During the meeting, Ambassador Aftab extended her warmest congratulations to Mr. Barron on his appointment as Lord Mayor of Dublin and wished him every success for a productive and successful tenure.
The two sides exchanged views on matters of mutual interest, with particular emphasis on community engagement, inclusion and integration in Dublin.
Ambassador Aftab assured the Lord Mayor of the Embassy of Pakistan’s full support and cooperation for Dublin City Council initiatives aimed at strengthening community integration and fostering greater engagement among Dublin’s diverse communities.
Lord Mayor Daryl Barron expressed his appreciation for the positive contribution and services of the Pakistani community in Ireland, acknowledging its role within Ireland’s increasingly diverse society.
