AIPPS Hosts Memorable Eid Gathering for Pakistani Doctors and Families in Ireland on 13/4/25 at Five star Savoy Hotel in Limerick.

The Association of Irish Pakistani Physicians and Surgeons (AIPPS) held a vibrant and heartwarming Eid get-together this weekend, bringing together over 150 Pakistani doctors and their families from across Ireland. The event, organized by the AIPPS Executive Council, celebrated not only the spirit of Eid but also the strength and unity of the Pakistani medical community in Ireland.

The evening was graced by a number of distinguished guests, with Mr. Shahid Iqbal, Deputy Head of the Pakistan Embassy in Dublin, attending as Chief Guest. In his address, Mr. Iqbal praised the contributions of Pakistani healthcare professionals in Ireland and emphasized the importance of such gatherings in preserving cultural identity and fostering community cohesion.

Prominent members of the Pakistani diaspora were also in attendance, including Mr. and Mrs. Irfan Hameed, President of the Pakistan Business Council, and Ms. Ayesha, a fellow member of the council. Mr. Imran Kurshid, Member of the Law Society, and Mr. Ishaq, solicitor, were among the legal professionals who joined the celebrations.

The event also welcomed several respected figures from the medical field, including Dr. Tariq, President of FAMS Ireland, and renowned urology consultants Mr. Jaffery, Mr. Imtiaz, and Mr. Ijaz Cheema. Their presence highlighted the growing representation and leadership of Pakistani professionals in key areas of the Irish healthcare system.

Also in attendance were media representative Mr. Faisal Mirza from 92 News, barrister Mr. Faisal, and Mr. and Mrs. Adil Sattar, who contributed to the evening’s vibrant atmosphere.

The event featured cultural activities, traditional food, and warm networking opportunities, offering attendees a chance to reconnect and celebrate Eid in a family-friendly environment. The AIPPS Executive Council was widely praised for the successful organization of the event and their continued efforts to build a strong professional and cultural support network for Pakistani doctors in Ireland.

As the evening concluded, many attendees expressed appreciation for the sense of unity and belonging fostered by the event, making it a memorable celebration of Eid and community spirit.
