The Embassy of Pakistan marked the 79th Independence Day of Pakistan with a flag-hoisting ceremony attended by a large number of members of the Pakistani community.
The ceremony reflected the spirit of patriotism and unity as community members gathered to celebrate Pakistan’s independence. During the event, special Independence Day messages from the President of Pakistan, Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister were read out to the audience.
In her remarks, the Ambassador of Pakistan to Ireland H.E Mariam Aftab extended warm Independence Day greetings to the Pakistani community. She particularly appreciated the important role and valuable contributions of overseas Pakistanis, highlighting their position as a vital bridge between Pakistan and their countries of residence.
The gathering provided an opportunity for members of the community to come together, celebrate their shared heritage and reaffirm their connection with Pakistan.
The ceremony concluded in a festive atmosphere, with guests being served traditional Pakistani food, adding a cultural flavour to the Independence Day celebrations.
