POC Women’s Day event, Women’s Day event was held at Drogheda Dolls, POC members Kinza Arslan, Ms. Madiha and Mr. Arslan planned the event.
Drogheda Mayor Michelle Hall was the guest of honor, for only the second time in almost 800 years, Drogheda has had a female mayor, Team POC would like to thank her for joining the event and supporting our organisation.
The Mayor of Drogheda praised the integration efforts of POC and spoke about the Pakistani community on Women’s Day, noting how good Irish-Pakistani relations have been over the years and that these relations will only get stronger in the years to come.
We would also like to thank our special guest and speaker Natalie Kelly, founder of Drogheda Dolls House for her support. We would like to thank our speakers including POC Senior Member Ayma Khanum, Kanza Arsalan, Ms.Madiha and our guest Dr Ayesha for highlighting the role and rights of women and the important role our women play in today’s world.
POC Ireland appreciates the efforts put in by the County Louth team and would like to thank and congratulate all members on a successful event.
