Young British-Pakistani Chef Zahra Khan makes it to Forbes 30 under 30

A British-Pakistani chef, Zahra Khan, has been included in the Forbes 30 under 30 list of Europe. The 29-year-old entrepreneur has been included in the list of retail and e-commerce category.

Originally from Lahore, the 29-year-old chef has been chasing her dreams since the age of 13 when she was told that her future lies in science and that she cannot achieve anything worthy from culinary. Khan has graduated from celebrity chef Gordan Ramsay’s culinary academy.

Experienced Chef, Young Entrepreneur and a Mother, Zahra Khan is the sole founder of revolutionary London hotspots Feya Café and DYCE London. At just 29 years of age, she is Mother to two daughters under the age of two, an exemplary graduate of the iconic Tante Marie Culinary Academy and a pioneer in the movement towards female equality in business.

Zahra took on the task of launching her debut eatery, Feya Café Bond Street, just months after the birth of her first daughter in 2018. Following unprecedented success, Feya Knightsbridge was opened in quick succession, followed by DIY dessert parlour and interior masterpiece; DYCE, in 2019.

Her extraordinary talents as an entrepreneur, chef & Mother have earned her nominations for:
Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2019 (Federation of Small Businesses UK),
London Business Mother of the Year 2020 (Venus Awards),
Business Owner of the Year & Businesswoman of the Year at the National Women’s Business Awards 2020.

With two locations in Marylebone and a flagship Feya café in London’s affluent Knightsbridge, Zahra is working to make sure that her success inspires other women to create their own career paths.

A firm believer that a successful business combines social impact and revenue-generation, Zahra launched Feya Cares in June 2020, with the aim to close the gender pay gap by providing resources, a network and support to young women.

With a 75% female workforce, Feya will also launch its own retail line in 2020, including jams, chocolates and teas that will support the Feya Cares initiative through thought-provoking packaging that highlight the importance of female empowerment.

To support her ethical and sustainable values, Zahra also stands against food waste and as a result, both Feya & DYCE are partnered with food-sharing organisations like Too Good To Go and OLIO.
