POC Ireland and Islamic Relief Ireland are thrilled to announce the resounding success of our recent multicultural food competition, a vibrant event that brought together our diverse community to celebrate the rich tapestry of cultures through cuisine.
The event, held in a spirit of unity and inclusivity, showcased the culinary talents of participants from over 15 countries, offering attendees a unique opportunity to sample a wide array of dishes from around the world—all under one roof and completely free of charge. The competition highlighted the strength of our community’s unity and the richness of our cultural diversity.
We were honored to have Senator Gerry Horkan and Councillor Ammar Ali attend the competition. Their presence and support were invaluable, contributing significantly to the success of the event. Their engagement underscores the importance of such initiatives in fostering community spirit and cross-cultural understanding.
The competition concluded with the awarding of trophies, certificates, gift cards, and gift baskets to the winners, recognizing their exceptional culinary skills. Every attendee also received a certificate as a token of appreciation for their participation, reflecting our gratitude for their contributions to the event’s success.
We extend our deepest thanks to all the participants who entrusted us with the privilege of showcasing their culinary heritage. A special thank you goes to our dedicated POC team and the Islamic Relief volunteers, whose tireless efforts ensured the event was executed flawlessly. Your commitment and hard work are truly appreciated.
Congratulations to our 6 incredible participants who stood out in the Multicultural Food Competition!
Three from the mains category and three from the dessert category wowed us with their culinary talent. Your dishes were a true highlight of the event, and we’re so proud to celebrate your achievements.
