Fahmeda Naheed is a Graduate Intern with the Southern Region Assistant Commissioner’s Office inAnglesea Street, Cork City. As part of her role, she is working with a regional team under the Assistant Commissioner, along with seven Garda Divisions in the Southern Region to promote diversity initiatives. She is originally from Pakistan but has been living in Cork for the last fourteen years and is an Irish Citizen. She did M.Phil and Cert in Mental Health in Communities, both from University College Cork. She loves cooking and describes herself as a community person.

An Garda Síochaná –Trainee Recruitment Campaign began in February 2022. This included provision for high visibility policing through the recruitment of up to 800 additional Garda Trainees.
