Dr. Umar Al-Qadri, a familiar face in Irish society, has officially announced his candidacy to represent Dublin West. Running on a comprehensive platform, he aims to tackle key issues affecting the community, including crime, housing, immigration, healthcare, and the cost of living. “We’ve had enough of the coalition government that ignores us—it’s time for change,” Dr. Al-Qadri declared.
Positioning himself as a strong candidate, Dr. Al-Qadri has vowed to oppose the controversial SPHE curriculum, which he believes is unsuitable for children. He emphasizes the importance of upholding traditional family values and reforming children’s education, expressing concern that these essential pillars of society are being sidelined.
In addition to domestic issues, Dr. Al-Qadri is calling for international action, urging for sanctions on Israel ilfor committing genocide and human rights violations in Gaza and Lebanon.
Reflecting on his previous run for the European Parliament, where he received second most highest first preference votes among independent candidates, Dr. Al-Qadri spoke of the community’s robust support and how it has fueled his determination to fight even more ardently for their interests.
