Pakistan Ireland Business Council (PIBC) holds Networking Meeting

On 28 November, Pakistan Ireland Business Council (PIBC) held its networking meeting at RDS with a focus on expansion of its membership. The meeting was attended by a large number of participants including PIBC ‘s existing members as well as potential new members of the Council.
During the meeting, Mr. Irfan Hameed, co-founder of PIBC, gave a short briefing about the establishment of the PIBC, its objectives and the progress made so far. While inviting new members into the PIBC, he urged the participants to actively join the Council in view of significance of the platform for promotion of Pak Ireland business relations.
Ambassador Aisha Farooqui, as Patron in Chief of the PIBC welcomed the participants to the networking meeting. Expressing satisfaction over PIBC’s progress over the last two years, the Ambassador apprised about immense business and investment opportunities in Pakistan. She also briefed about the Government of Pakistan’s initiative of Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) to invite Foreign Direct Investment in priority sectors of agriculture, energy, mining, and IT.
She invited the participants to benefit from this important business and investment opportunity and assured them Embassy’s full support and cooperation for all possible facilitation required in this regard. She also briefly mentioned about ongoing cooperation between Ireland and Pakistan in various fields including healthcare, IT, art &culture, and others.
The meeting provided an excellent networking opportunity to the existing and potential members of the PIBC.
