IPPA Annual Event 2024: A Day of Celebration, Recognition, and Community Impact.

November 3, 2024 – Naas, Co. Kildare: The Irish Pakistani Professionals Association (IPPA) celebrated an extraordinary day of community, learning, and recognition at their CME & Annual Event 2024, held at the beautiful Killashee Hotel. Bringing together over 400 guests, the event marked a milestone in IPPA’s journey of fostering professional development and cultural exchange within Ireland’s Pakistani community.

The day commenced with a robust Continuing Medical Education (CME) Poster Presentation, endorsed by the Royal College of Surgeons with 3 CME points. This session provided medical professionals a platform to gain valuable insights and exchange knowledge. Congratulations were extended to the winners of the CME Poster competition:

  • Winner: Dr. Saira Asghar
  • Runners-up: Ashfaque Ahmed & Muneeb Quidwai

As the evening unfolded, guests enjoyed a lively “Treasure Alley” experience, followed by a delicious dinner accompanied by a unique fusion of pop and classical music. The pinnacle of the evening was the IPPA Awards Ceremony, which recognized the exceptional achievements of individuals across five key categories:

  • Community Star Award: Faisal Ahmed
  • Medical Professional Award: Mir Sarfraz & CPSP Team
  • Emerging Talent Award: Yusra Syeda
  • Academic, Technology, and Business Award: Dr. Kapal Dev
  • Imran Sharif Award: Shahzad Quidwai

The evening continued with several remarkable highlights, including:

  • The unveiling of the IPPA Digital Magazine
  • The launch of the IPPA Falcons’ Cricket Team Jersey
  • Announcement of the IPPA Election Results and an Oath-Taking Ceremony

Distinguished guests graced the event, including:

  • Mr. Jack Chambers, Minister for Finance
  • Mr. Roderic O’Gorman, Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration, and Youth
  • Ms. Aisha Farooqui, Ambassador of Pakistan
  • Prof. Suzanne Crowe, President of the Medical Council of Ireland
  • Prof. Deborah McNamara, President of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland
