#BasantFestival was organised by Amna Walayat Creative Producer in Residence Cork County Council on 09th September as Public event open for All Communities at Carrigaline Park in Collaboration with South Asian Communities living in Cork County and City.
Mayor of County Cork Cllr. Danny Collins Inaugurated this public event by cutting the ribbon and flying the a kite. Cllr.Ben Dalton O’Sullivan also graced the event with his presences.
#BasantFestival is the part of #SouthAsianCommunityMuseum by #AmnaWalayat who is working as #CreativeProducerInResidance with Cork County Council This Project is Supported by Cork County Council Library & Arts Service funded by Creative Ireland and local businesses Spice Garden, Lavish and Ignite.
#BasantFestival can be compared to #brigidfestival in Ireland.
