Dublin, Ireland: The Ambassador of Pakistan hosted a dinner in honour of the Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team, which is currently visiting Ireland to participate in a T20 International series.
The event brought together distinguished guests from both Pakistan and Ireland, reflecting the growing spirit of sports diplomacy and people-to-people connections between the two countries. Among those in attendance were the President and representatives of Cricket Ireland, officials from the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Department of Justice, members of the Pakistan-Ireland Parliamentary Friendship Group, and the President of the Pak-Irish Cricket Association.
Welcoming the guests, the Ambassador praised the achievements and dedication of the Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team and highlighted the important role of sports in fostering mutual understanding, friendship, and cooperation between nations.
The guests expressed their appreciation to the Ambassador for hosting the event and welcomed the opportunity to engage with the visiting team. They also underscored the positive contribution of sporting exchanges in strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and Ireland.
As a gesture of appreciation, the captain of the Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team presented the Ambassador with an official team shirt on behalf of the squad, commemorating the team’s visit to Ireland and the warm hospitality extended to them.
The evening provided an excellent platform for interaction among sports officials, government representatives, parliamentarians, and members of the Pakistani community, further reinforcing the strong and friendly ties between Pakistan and Ireland.
