Dublin 16th Jan 2026 – A delegation of the Kashmir Peace & Solidarity Council (KPSC) Ireland, led by Ms. Sadia Butt, called on Ambassador Mariam Aftab in Dublin. The delegation warmly welcomed the Ambassador on her arrival in Ireland.
During the meeting, the delegation briefed the Ambassador on the objectives, ongoing work, and forthcoming activities of KPSC Ireland aimed at highlighting the Jammu and Kashmir dispute at various forums. They shared plans to raise awareness about the humanitarian and human rights situation in the region.
Ambassador Mariam Aftab appreciated the commitment and efforts of KPSC Ireland in highlighting human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K). She reiterated the Government of Pakistan’s unwavering political, diplomatic, and moral support for the people of IIOJ&K until the realization of their inalienable right to self-determination, in accordance with relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions.
The meeting concluded with a shared resolve to continue collaborative efforts to raise global awareness on the Jammu and Kashmir issue and advocate for justice and peace in the region.
