Dublin – The Pakistan Ireland Business Council (PIBC) Annual Dinner was held in a distinguished black-tie setting, bringing together an impressive gathering of leaders, policymakers, CEOs, entrepreneurs, and business owners from Ireland and Pakistan for an evening that reflected both prestige and progress in bilateral relations.

Speaking at the event, the President of PIBC shared an overview of the rapidly developing trade relationship between Ireland and Pakistan, noting a significant increase in bilateral trade from $200 million to $500 million. PIBC reiterated its commitment to accelerating this growth further, with a strategic focus on technology and services-based sectors, while fostering sustainable, long-term business partnerships.
Guests also heard from H.E. Mariam Aftab, Ambassador of Pakistan to Ireland, who expressed her strong dedication to enhancing business engagement between the two countries. She encouraged Pakistani and international companies to view Ireland as a gateway to Europe and shared plans to facilitate business delegations to Pakistan, marking a positive step toward deeper economic cooperation.
The presence of Pat Kelly, Director of the Asia Pacific Unit at the Department of Foreign Affairs, and Senator Maria Byrne, a valued member of the Ireland-Pakistan Friendship Group, further reflected the growing institutional interest in strengthening bilateral relations.
