PIBC Celebrates a Visionary Leader Strengthening Pakistan–Ireland Relations

The Pakistan Ireland Business Council (PIBC) hosted a farewell lunch on Saturday, 30th October, in honour of Ambassador Ms. Aisha Farooqui, celebrating her successful and impactful tenure as Pakistan’s Ambassador to Ireland.

As the Chief Patron of PIBC, Ms. Farooqui provided inspiring leadership and a renewed vision that strengthened business, trade, and diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Ireland. Her instrumental role in facilitating tech and business delegations from Pakistan, and fostering partnerships among small and large enterprises, has left a lasting legacy.

On behalf of the Council, a special Bog Oak Sculpture titled “River of Connections and Flows” was presented to Ms. Farooqui, symbolising the enduring friendship and dynamic exchange between the two nations.

PIBC members expressed deep appreciation for the Ambassador’s exceptional contributions and extended heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Shahid Iqbal, Head of Mission, for his continued dedication and support during his tenure.

Ambassador Aisha Farooqui thanked PIBC members for their collaboration and acknowledged the Council’s role in promoting stronger business ties between Pakistan and Ireland.

The event was also graced by Barry Ward TD, who commended PIBC’s efforts in enhancing bilateral relations and reaffirmed his commitment to further strengthening cooperation between the two countries.

As Ms. Aisha Farooqui embarks on her new diplomatic assignment in Lisbon, PIBC extends its warmest wishes for continued success and looks forward to nurturing the growing bond of friendship between Pakistan and Ireland.
