Cork, Ireland — Ambassador Mariam Aftab called on Councillor Fergal Dennehy, Lord Mayor of Cork City Council, during her visit to Cork.
During the meeting, the Lord Mayor briefed the Ambassador on various initiatives undertaken by Cork City Council and acknowledged the positive role played by the Pakistani community residing in Cork. He appreciated their active participation and contribution to the social and cultural life of the city.
Ambassador Aftab thanked the Lord Mayor for his recognition of the community’s efforts and assured the Embassy’s full support and cooperation to further encourage the participation of the Pakistani community in Cork City Council’s initiatives.
The meeting underscored the importance of community engagement and collaboration between the Embassy and local authorities to strengthen ties and promote inclusivity.
