Naeem Iqbal is a professional accountant, tax and business advisor. He is also an owner of no of businesses in Ireland.
To serve the communities and to make a difference, Naeem Iqbal contested Laois County Election in 2019 as an Independent. He has given a new voice to the communities on the issues of public interests. For the integration of the immigrants’ communities, he has taken initiatives to bridge the gaps amongst the communities.
Naeem Iqbal is an elected member of the Laois Community Development Committee (LCDC). LCDCs key function is to achieve a more strategic, joined-up approach to local and community development. LCDCs will have oversight and responsibility for local development and community-related funding in their county.
Naeem Iqbal is the Director the Laois Sports Partnership, CLG. The LSG initiative was developed by the Sport Ireland in order to create a national structure to co-ordinate and promote the development of sport at local level.
The issues of Indian Occupied Kashmir and Palestine are given a significant importance by Mr Naeem Iqbal. In 2019, Naeem Iqbal organised All Ireland Kashmir (IOK) Conference which had a great impact on the state policy of Republic of Ireland on the IOK.
Similarly, to highlight the issue of Palestine, Mr Naeem Iqbal organised a street protest for the first time in the history of the Midlands, Ireland in 2021.
